So says Philip Howard @ Bloor Research in his recent commentary “Silwood enhances catalogues“. This makes it plain how useful Safyr is when trying to construct a data catalogue. Without a tool like Safyr, to interrogate or supplement the lack of usable data dictionaries in many enterprise packaged applications, trying to understand what is useful or relevant in terms of your proposed catalogue is a long, tedious task reliant on much guesswork.
If you are planning a data catalogue and are stuck at the application level due to lack of available model or meaningful metadata, you need Safyr. As Bloor say: “an idea whose time has come.”
