Overview
Financial decision-making within the corporate finance function. The course focuses on strategies for optimising & modelling shareholder value, often a treasury rather than CFO function, taking a pragmatic, real-world, perspective broadening accepted definitions.
Course content looks at:
- sources of funding;
- the capital structure of corporations;
- routes to increased shareholder value e.g. M&A;
- criteria for the allocation of financial resources.
The course has been updated to include current issues: forecasts & scenarios; risk evaluation; gearing & new equity markets. Against the current world backdrop this has been a particular issue for sectors with high R & D and MVP costs, where the world needed scientific breakthroughs. This required innovative funding by equity, mezzanine, loans (even against intangibles); low gearing & low risk entry into the market.
Again, in keeping with market conditions, the course looks at the contribution corporate finance can make in applying its disciplines to drive organic growth in adverse circumstances: specialist funds, private equity and ‘unicorn’ country.
Who should attend
CFO’s, Treasurers, Boards, NEDs, Directors, Investors, Analysts, C-Suite & senior executives (incumbent and prospective), corporate head-hunters and C Suite recruiters.
