Incorvus partners with Droplet Computing

Droplet Computing containerised portability platform

LONDON, UK – May 24, 2019 – Incorvus is pleased to announce their partnership with Droplet Computing  where Incorvus will resell Droplet Computing’s patent-pending container technology for Windows XP, Linux and MacOS.

Droplet’s containerised portability platform removes dependency between applications, operating systems and devices, and reduces end-of-life (EOL) risks!

“This technology redefines application delivery and provides a protected environment for legacy applications, independent of device or operating system (OS),” says Suzanne Jozefowicz, MD of Incorvus. “We see the Droplet Computing technology as an antidote to a common roadblock found in transformative IT projects; how to deal with legacy applications and their data repositories in a forward-looking manner, suited to the digital age.”

  • Those with a decommissioning strategy may want to port these applications elsewhere, in order to generate efficiencies from remaindering the obsolete host estate.
  • Some may want to be able to continue to use classic applications on a different OS, as they no longer work natively.
  • Others may simply desire greater control or flexibility regarding application, or in securing the relevant host.

The Droplet Computing solution means any application can be secured and run safely in situ, within the container (either online or offline) or be ported to a modern, secure operating system (OS) and device.

“It’s perfect for those planning to make efficiencies from decommissioning, as the Droplet Computing container platform enables this to be done with confidence, certain in the knowledge that data and security risks have been ‘contained’; vintage applications isolated, ported, secured; or enabled for continued usage (even on non-native OS). From old application repositories, personal data can be discovered and meaningful data extracted, securely, reducing the risk of sensitive data breaches,” continues Jozefowicz.

“IT admins will find the Droplet Computing container platform very helpful as part of a controlled migration, transformation or de-commissioning strategy. They will no longer be driven by the EOL timetable of the global vendor and end users will have virtually no disruption to their normal work since the application look and feel will remain consistent, regardless of OS,” states Barry Daniels, COO of Droplet Computing. “We are very pleased to be working with Incorvus to deliver our solutions to their customers.”

About Droplet Computing

Droplet Computing develops innovative software solutions based on patent-pending container technology that enables fully featured applications to run on multiple device platforms, such as Windows, Mac, and Linux – even if the operating system on your device does not normally support those applications. What makes Droplet Computing container technology different from other containers is that it does not require you to be connected to the Cloud to run your applications. Your applications run locally on your device online as well as offline. Droplet Computing solutions enable you to focus on being productive on the device of your choice without any loss of features, functionality, or familiarity.
